3 Big Tips On How To Build Loyal Twitter Followers
Everyone wants loyal twitter followers right? I never thought i’d say this, but i actually really do love twitter now, once upon a time i really didn’t ‘get it’. Now i’m on it several times a day. Plus again in the evening and interacting with my twitter audience. Not to mention that at least 12 or more posts go out on there a day. I schedule 12 a day and then live post several.
So how do you actually build loyal twitter followers?
Here are 3 big tips on how to build great loyal twitter followers, once you’ve got these nailed, you’ll start seeing a difference in your twitter feed and how many people engage with your content.
- Honest Engagement over Automation Always! Seriously, don’t thank people with an automated message! Thank them yourself by actually logging in to Twitter and thanking somebody personally. I also wish them a great day. I’m not a huge fan of the auto DM either, but each to their own. There is just nothing personal about it. I do believe in scheduling your posts, because you do need to post a lot on Twitter to get people talking. But you also need to post live too. Being real on social media is essential and Twitter is no different.
- Retweet Other Peoples Tweets and Get Involved. Retweet other peoples content is self explanatory. I don’t mean do it 5 times a day, but go and get interested in what others are saying and start a conversation. That’s what i mean by getting involved. Spend some time on your newsfeed, not just replying to notifications.
- Last not but least, build friendships, not just followers and numbers. Everyone knows that to succeed in social media you have to build relationships. With twitter being so fast moving, it’s important to be on there regularly and interact with people and not always just about business. I’ll often post that i am off swimming with the kids, or that i am switching off for a few hours and remind my audience that they need to switch off too sometimes. These are just examples, but it shows people i am a real person
So a very quick recap: Schedule posts, but don’t forget to post live too and Be Real. Retweet other peoples content sometimes and get involved in conversations. Finally, start building friendships online.
Have a wonderful and day and go find time to play more on Twitter.
