Keeping It Human

Keeping it human in storytelling. Storytelling is the best and most effective way of marketing. I hear people say ‘marketing doesn’t work for me’ and I call bulls*it! It works for every business, you just have to find what works for you and your business.

Keeping it human in your marketing is what will make you stand out from your competitors.

Here are some Tips on Keeping it Human in your Marketing

Make Your Customer the Hero

Have you considered making your customer the hero for a change? When storytelling in business, it can’t be all about you. Sure, sometimes blow your own trumpet, but don’t make it ALL about you. By telling a story and making it about your customer and making them the hero, by extension shows how YOU helped them. How you helped in that process of their success.

Get it? Start talking about your customers, keeping it human. If you can make your customers look good, they’re a testament to how good your work is.

Talk About Your Journey

Talk about your journey through your business, the highs and the lows of it and how it helped grow you and your business. This way of keeping it human relates to your audience. Talk about the impacts, be emotive. Mention the mistakes AND the breakthroughs.

Failures are amazing learning experiences and can make for a good tale. Focus on what they taught you and how it made you and your business Better in the long run.

2 Marketing Trends You Should Be Following

Marketing trends, they come and go right? However, these 2 marketing trends have been HUGE throughout 2017 and i see them being even bigger in 2018. With so much change all the time, it can be hard for entrepreneurs to keep up. So let me give you the 2 best marketing trends i have seen (and they work) and let’s see how you as a business can start using them more.

Live Streaming

It’s no surprise that live streaming has become a number one marketing trend and tool that have made people rich. From Instagram lives to Facebook Lives, they WORK! Live streaming makes people extremely relatable and let’s face it, it’s no secret that people buy from those that they Know, Like and Trust.

Today, live video is a feature that’s rolling out across most of the major platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. There are also gaming-focused options like Twitch and Beam (now Mixer) to cater to a fast-growing vertical that includes over 2.2 billion gamers around the world. My son (8 years old) is desperate to live stream whilst gaming, but that’s another story.

Live video offers the ability to share an experience moment-by-moment with a large audience from all over and invite them to comment and participate in real time. How can your business stream live more often and how will you work it into your marketing calendar?
